But what could appear to be a flaw is instead perhaps its most beautiful quality. A garden is the keeper of life, through the evolution and transformation of its plants, through the changing seasons that cloak the trees with leaves in Spring and paint them in dark hues in Autumn, through the blossoming of all kinds of plants and the transformation of flowers into fruits. It's in this coming alive, day by day, that a garden casts its spell.

It has been said, and I am convinced of it, that a garden is also an art form, and history confirms this because next to so many other artistic expressions through the ages, mankind has always known how to give life to the most beautiful gardens, many lasting through our own time.
Unlike other works of art, a garden takes a few years to reach its prime and
cannot consider itself complete on creation.
